This year at Christmas you may be suffering, but even so the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
When we skip church on Christmas day we unintentionally imply that other things are more important than Jesus and his mission.
Jesus standing at the door and knocking is not an evangelistic outreach, but a tender picture of his care for the church by calling her to repent of blending in with a godless culture.
As you read the Bible it becomes clear that the temple is a big deal. The key to rightly valuing these portions of scripture is seeing why the temple is so central to the story of redemption.
As we enter into our culture’s season of thanksgiving, let me encourage you to let the structure of this chorus guide the way you give thanks.
